The cork is a bit soiled but only adds to the character. This is an impregnated rod as many of Orvis' rods are. The tip section a straight as well as the butt. The ferrules fit together tightly as they should and "pop" when pulled apart. This is a 5 6 weight rod and is excellent for al around trout fishing.
